Calligraphers are very choosy about paper and for this reason many of you want to make your own journals and sketchbooks using papers you love and trust, often including papers you have decorated and want to showcase. Good paper alone is not enough to satisfy your needs. You also need a book that lies flat to allow you to write and illustrate easily with a variety of pens, tools and mediums. In this class you will learn how to create a two different long-stitch books and a Secret Belgian Binding book. We will create the books with your choice of art papers and text papers in any sizes you want. This class is a real stash buster! Detailed information about paper selection will be given a month before the class.
Levels: All levels accommodated but some knowledge of simple bookbinding would be helpful
